Legno Nero 1999

This was the first vintage of this special wine. It is made out of San Giovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cabernet is Tuscany style, very rype and round. The main goal for this wine was softness and roundness supported by a good body. This wine will be officially released in January 2001.

Was aged for 15 months in small and midium sized (up to 1000 litres) non tosted french oak barrels, 50% San Giovese and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. No filtration was necessary. Quite long maceration. in cement tank. Only 2000 bottles of this wine have been produced.
